Skating is much more than a sport as it gives learners an opportunity to nurture and develop their skating skills. It’s also an art, a way of life which is self-fulling. Through understanding different skating drills, it creates a sense of body coordination as we interact with our peers and trainers. Through outdoor competitions learners get to develop self-confidence and expression.
Our soccer academy gives learners an opportunity to nurture and develop their football talent. Learners get first- hand experience on matters soccer. Through the vigorous trainings every Saturday, they develop their psychomotor skills as they interact with their peers and most importantly develop teamwork thus growing socially. The school occasionally organizes friendlies and tournaments, which enable learners to become competitive individuals who can overcome challenging situations with much ease.
Coding and robotics was introduced to our learners to encourage innovation, be critical thinkers and enable them to solve problems. This has also helped them to understand the trends in technology, improve teamwork and social aspect as they grow technically. Coding empowers learners to understand digital media and technology as well as create it. Instead of just playing a video game or using an app developed by another person, they can make their own video game and even create their own website.
According to studies, playing chess significantly improves children’s visual memory, attention span, logical thinking, and concentration. It also promotes imagination and creativity. Perhaps that’s because, in chess just as in school, concentration and memory go hand in hand. During the game, you are focused on only one main goal to checkmate your opponent. Therefore, as we play, chess brings us together, we learn how to win and lose and this helps us to realize the consequences of our actions. Indeed, chess is an educational tool.
Swimming is a significant physical exercise at any age. At the same time, swimming can provide a wealth of benefits over and above physical conditioning for kids, including mental, social and safety benefits. A child who takes part in swimming enjoys superior muscle development and lifelong love for exercise. Swimming can also help to increase your child’s confidence level and improve their concentration.
The Kirawa Road school music club, is all about learning various music concepts both practically and in theory. Learners are equipped with various music skills according to their different abilities and interests. The lessons offered are voice classes, recorder classes, drum classes, violin classes, piano classes and guitar classes. Music in general fosters cohesion and team work among learners.
